Our fees are typically structured as flat monthly retainers, fixed project fees, or hourly rates, depending on the service complexity and your preference. We provide a detailed quote before any work begins, so there are no surprises. 

We primarily work with [e.g., QuickBooks Online, Xero, and Sage] as well as many industry-specific software solutions. We can also help transition you to a more efficient platform if needed. 

We utilize a secure, encrypted client portal  for document exchange. We also communicate via phone, email, and scheduled video conferencing to ensure efficient service delivery.

2. Tax and Bookkeeping Specifics

What is the deadline for providing my tax documents?

Generally, we require all W-2s, 1099s, investment statements, mortgage interest statements, and documentation for all deductible expenses. After you onboard, we provide a detailed, customized checklist. 

We strongly recommend monthly bookkeeping to ensure your financial records are accurate, up-to-date, and ready for tax season. Timely bookkeeping also gives you better insight for making smart business decisions throughout the year. 

Absolutely. We offer specialized cleanup and catch-up services to bring your records current, organized, and compliant. We will discuss the scope of work and a fixed price for the project upfront. 

A Bookkeeper records financial transactions. A CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is licensed by the state, has passed an extensive exam, and is qualified to perform higher-level services like audits, tax representation before the IRS, and high-level financial advising.
